WNS Programs

Westminster Neighborhood Services, Inc. (WNS) works to address the needs of at-risk children and families on the Near Eastside of Indianapolis. Our programming focuses on serving the family unit as a whole – whatever that unit may be – without any conditions attached, through spiritual and holistic programming. We believe in the dignity of every person and recognize that individual family member’s needs cannot be effectively met in isolation. They must be met comprehensively.

Building relationships helps people who have been isolated geographically and socially. Our comprehensive continuum of services – which include early childhood and youth education programs and family and adult services, as well as healthcare partnerships with Gennesaret Free Clinics and Families First – enables the entire family to broaden their horizons, understand their options, and make better choices for an improved quality of life. Westminster’s Early Childhood and Youth Education includes K-8 programming during afterschool and summer, and our Family and Adult Services include Pantry Services (Food Pantry, Soup Kitchen, Clothing Closet) and Adult Education programs. We believe that when families are supported and self-sustaining, they are able to turn outwards and transform their own community.

Our inner-city neighborhood continues to grow and some of our community members continue to struggle with poverty. Therefore, Westminster Neighborhood Services is expanding program offerings to meet the growing needs of our community. When families are supported and self-sustaining, they are able to turn outward and transform their own community.
